Śrīmad Bhāgavata Katha Śravaṇa Sapthaha
Srimad Bhagavatam, or Bhagavata Purana, is a major Hindu scripture glorifying Lord Vishnu's avatars, especially Lord Krishna, and depicting the stories of Bhagavan's devotees. Considered the essence of the Vedas, Upanishads, and Bhagavad Gita, it is revered for elevating spiritual lives.
Conducting a week-long Srimad Bhagavatam discourse (saptah) is a common Hindu practice. As per Sadguru Sri Anantaswamy Maharaj's inspiration, a 'Shrimad Bhagavat Katha Shravana Saptah Yajna' will be held at the ashram. Vidwan Kalya Sri Srikantacharya will narrate stories from Srimad Bhagavatam, accompanied by Lord Krishna's worship.
Devotees are requested to attend this week-long event with families and relatives, listen to the nectar-like Srimad Bhagavata Katha Shravana and spiritual discourses, and receive blessings of Lord Panduranga Vithala and Rukmini, the idol of Sadguru Sri Ananthaswamy Maharaj.
